Live in 24 hours: how to get started
Three steps, then done
Getting your Shopping ads running through The CSS Partner is a one-time process. Here is what happens from start to finish.
Step 1: Sign up and pay (5 minutes). Create your account at The CSS Partner. We need your name, email, and the country your shop is based in. You pay right away via Stripe, and your subscription starts. We then generate a Merchant Center connection request and send it to your Google account.
Step 2: Approve the Merchant Center connection (1 click). You will receive a connection request in your Google Merchant Center. It looks like a standard account access notification. You click Approve. That one click is the technical action that links your Merchant Center to our CSS. You do not need to change anything in your Google Ads account. You do not need to edit your campaigns, your feed or your bids. If you are not sure where to find the request in Merchant Center, we will walk you through it. It takes about two minutes.
Step 3: We configure the CSS and confirm you are live (within 24 hours). After you approve the connection, we complete the CSS configuration on our side. Within 24 hours, your Shopping ads are running through The CSS Partner and your CPC saving is in effect. We send you a confirmation when you are live. No further action needed from you.
Merchant Center
What we need from you
- Access to approve the Merchant Center connection request (you keep full ownership of your account)
- The email address linked to your Merchant Center
That is it. We do not need your Google Ads login. We do not need admin access to your campaigns. We do not need your website CMS or shop backend.
What happens to your campaigns during the switch?
Nothing disrupts them. Your Shopping campaigns keep running continuously throughout the connection process. There is no pause, no reset, no relearning phase.
The switch happens at the infrastructure layer below your campaigns. From Google's advertising platform perspective, your campaigns simply begin routing bids through the CSS track instead of the direct track. The algorithm does not need to relearn anything.
What happens after you go live?
Your campaigns run as normal, with one difference: your cost-per-click is typically around 20% lower. If your bids and budgets stay the same, you will start getting more clicks for the same spend.
Most shops either let the saving accumulate as reduced spend, or increase their bids slightly to capture more volume at the same effective cost. That is your choice. We do not touch your campaign settings.
Support: a real person, not a ticket queue
If you have questions at any point during setup or after, you reach a real person directly. We are based in Aarhus, Denmark. Response time is same-day for most questions.
There is no support queue to navigate. There is no automated chatbot that needs to escalate your issue. You write to us, we respond.
No contract, no lock-in
The CSS Partner costs 20 € per month. No setup fee. No minimum term. No per-country fees. All 21 European CSS markets included from day one.
If at any point you want to cancel or switch back to running directly through Google, you disconnect the CSS in your Merchant Center and you are done. We do not add friction to leaving.
