Sweden was the first market we built out beyond Denmark. The same 20 € per shop per month covers Swedish Shopping campaigns with no per-country fee.

"kr" is not one currency, and feeds get this wrong

Swedish, Danish and Norwegian currencies all shorten to kr. A feed that carries the abbreviation without the ISO code is ambiguous, and the mistake is invisible until a price looks wrong to the buyer.

State SEK explicitly in the feed rather than relying on the symbol. It is a one-line fix and it prevents the kind of error nobody spots in review.

The krona floats, unlike its Danish neighbour

The Swedish krona moves against the euro. A euro price list converted once and left alone will drift, and it drifts quietly: nothing breaks, the margin just erodes.

Decide how often you re-price before you launch, rather than discovering the gap in a quarterly report.

Swedish is the language, not "Scandinavian"

Danish, Norwegian and Swedish are close enough that people assume one feed covers them. They are not close enough for Shopping, which matches the string in the title rather than the meaning.

Budget a real translation for each. It is the single field that decides whether you appear at all.

The shop systems here, and how they reach Merchant Center

Shopify and WooCommerce are the two most used ecommerce platforms among Sweden's active online stores, alongside the Swedish platform Quickbutik in a smaller share of the market. Shopify and WooCommerce stores connect to Google Merchant Center through each platform's own sales channel or extension, which syncs products automatically once the merchant account is verified. Quickbutik stores activate Google Shopping as a built-in sales channel and then map product categories and follow Google's own instructions to submit product data.

Frequently asked

Which currency should the feed carry?

SEK, stated as the ISO code. The abbreviation kr is shared with two other markets on this list.

Can I reuse my Danish feed?

No. The languages are close, the search strings are not, and titles are what Shopping matches.

Is Sweden in the eurozone?

No. Sweden uses the krona and has no fixed rate against the euro.

Is Sweden big enough to be worth its own feed?

Around ten and a half million people, and one of the more developed online retail markets in Europe. It is the largest of the Nordic markets and usually the first of them worth a proper translation.

Do I need a Swedish company?

No. What matters is the Merchant Center account and the feed, not where you are registered.

Is this a new integration I have to build?

No. There is nothing to build. Whatever already pushes your catalogue into Merchant Center keeps running unchanged; the switch itself is one approval, not a new connection.

Does trying this cost anything if it does not work out?

Not if you decide within 60 days: full refund, no questions. Outside that window there is still no lock-in, just monthly billing you can stop from your portal.

Do I need a second feed just for this?

No. The same feed that already reaches Merchant Center is what a CSS submits from. One feed, one Merchant Center account, no duplicate setup.

Who do I actually talk to if something needs fixing?

A real person on our side, not an anonymous ticket queue. Support, billing and cancellation are all handled from the same portal you use to add a shop.

Is there a limit on how many shops I can add?

No. Pricing is per shop with an automatic volume discount from five shops, calculated from your total. Adding more shops later just recalculates that total; it does not require a new agreement.

Does the switch pause my ads while Google processes it?

No. Your ads keep running the entire time, under whichever CSS is currently submitting them, until the new one is confirmed. There is no gap in coverage.

Is my data shared with anyone new by switching?

No. A CSS only submits the ad your Merchant Center feed already builds; it does not see your website, your customers or any data beyond what Merchant Center already exposes to any authorised party.

Does this work if I already run Performance Max, not just standard Shopping?

Yes. The bid-power effect applies to the Shopping portion of a PMax campaign specifically; the rest of the campaign runs exactly as before, because the switch happens in Merchant Center, not inside the campaign itself.
