Slovenia is a euro market in the second 2026 wave. Prepare now so up to 25% more bid power applies the moment Shopping goes live, because Google's margin of up to 20% no longer comes off your bid.
Two decades of euro pricing
Slovenia adopted the euro on 1 January 2007, the first of the ten countries that joined the EU in 2004 to do so. There is no currency migration to plan and no legacy pricing to clean up.
For a merchant already selling into the eurozone, that means the entry cost for this market is the feed language and nothing else.

Slovenian is spoken by two million people, and machine translation shows it
Slovenia has roughly 2.1 million residents, and Slovenian is a smaller language than most translation engines are trained well on. Titles come back grammatical and wrong: the right words in a form nobody searches.
Have the titles written rather than generated. The descriptions can be automatic; the titles are what Shopping matches.
Slovene keeps a grammatical dual for exactly two of something, alongside the singular and the plural. Very few languages still do.
A feed machine-translated from Croatian or Serbian gets this wrong, and two of something is an ordinary thing to shop for.
Four borders, and no friction at any of them
Slovenia borders Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia, and is inside both the eurozone and Schengen. Cross-border shopping is ordinary rather than exceptional.
A shop already selling into Austria or Italy is closer to this market than the population figure suggests, and the same shopper may well be comparing your Austrian prices against your Slovenian ones.
The shop systems here, and how they reach Merchant Center
The only technology-detection dataset found for Slovenia ranks WooCommerce well ahead of Shopify among named shop systems; no independent second source with comparable current figures could be found for this market. WooCommerce connects to Google Merchant Center via the official Google for WooCommerce plugin, and Shopify via the Google and YouTube sales channel.
Frequently asked
Is Slovenia in the eurozone?
Yes, since 1 January 2007, the first of the 2004 entrants to adopt the euro.
Can I reuse a Croatian feed?
No. Slovene and Croatian are separate languages with separate search behaviour.
Which characters does Slovene use?
č, š and ž. Losing them on export costs you matches, and the loss is invisible on the product page because it happens in the exported file rather than in the shop.
Does switching CSS mean changing my product feed?
No. The switch only changes which authorised CSS submits the ad that Merchant Center already builds from your feed. However your catalogue reaches Merchant Center today, it keeps reaching it exactly the same way.
Is there a setup fee or a minimum contract?
No setup fee, and no lock-in: cancel from your portal whenever you like. You also have 60 days after going live to change your mind for a full refund, no questions asked.
Do you build a custom feed, or use what I already have?
We use the feed you already send to Merchant Center. There is nothing new to build, and no separate export just for us.
Does the switch pause my ads while Google processes it?
No. Your ads keep running the entire time, under whichever CSS is currently submitting them, until the new one is confirmed. There is no gap in coverage.
Is there a limit on how many shops I can add?
No. Pricing is per shop with an automatic volume discount from five shops, calculated from your total. Adding more shops later just recalculates that total; it does not require a new agreement.
Who do I actually talk to if something needs fixing?
A real person on our side, not an anonymous ticket queue. Support, billing and cancellation are all handled from the same portal you use to add a shop.
Is my data shared with anyone new by switching?
No. A CSS only submits the ad your Merchant Center feed already builds; it does not see your website, your customers or any data beyond what Merchant Center already exposes to any authorised party.
Does this work if I already run Performance Max, not just standard Shopping?
Yes. The bid-power effect applies to the Shopping portion of a PMax campaign specifically; the rest of the campaign runs exactly as before, because the switch happens in Merchant Center, not inside the campaign itself.
