Croatia adopted the euro in 2023, so your spend is in euros. As a second-wave 2026 market, prepare early to start with The CSS Partner and up to 25% more bid power, because Google's margin of up to 20% no longer comes off your bid.
Croatia has already done the hard part
Croatia joined the euro area on 1 January 2023 and entered Schengen the same day. Three years on, the migration merchants elsewhere are still dealing with is finished here: prices, feeds and accounting are euro, and goods move without a customs stop.
That matters for a Shopping launch because it removes the two things that usually delay a new market. What is left is the feed itself.

The demand curve is not flat
Croatia's retail year is shaped by tourism. Categories that sell in July to a visiting buyer are not the categories that sell in February to a resident one, and the same feed has to serve both.
If you are planning budgets for this market, plan them by season rather than as a monthly average. An average hides the only two months that matter.
Croatian diacritics, and what happens when a feed strips them
Croatian uses the Latin alphabet with č, ć, ž, š and đ. A feed exported through a system that flattens them to c, z, s and d produces titles no shopper types.
Check the exported file rather than the product page. The stripping almost always happens on export, so the shop looks correct while the feed is not.
The shop systems here, and how they reach Merchant Center
A technology-detection scan and a separate survey of 173 Croatian online merchants both rank WooCommerce first and Shopify second among named shop systems, but they disagree sharply on Shopify's actual share: the merchant survey puts it at 7%, down from 12% two years earlier, while the technology scan puts it roughly twice as high. WooCommerce connects to Google Merchant Center via the official Google for WooCommerce plugin, and Shopify via the Google and YouTube sales channel.
Frequently asked
Is Croatia in the eurozone?
Yes. Croatia adopted the euro on 1 January 2023 and entered Schengen the same day. If you already price in euro there is no second price list to maintain here.
Can I reuse my Slovenian feed?
No. Slovene and Croatian are separate languages, and Shopping matches on the title. Neighbouring countries are not a shortcut.
What breaks most often in a Croatian feed?
Diacritics. It is the first thing to check and the easiest to miss, because the product page renders them correctly.
Will this break my existing Merchant Center setup?
No. Nothing about how your feed reaches Merchant Center changes. The switch is a single approval inside the account you already have, not a new integration.
Am I locked into anything by switching?
No. There is no contract length and no setup cost, and inside the first 60 days you can get a full refund without giving a reason.
Do you build a custom feed, or use what I already have?
We use the feed you already send to Merchant Center. There is nothing new to build, and no separate export just for us.
Does this work if I already run Performance Max, not just standard Shopping?
Yes. The bid-power effect applies to the Shopping portion of a PMax campaign specifically; the rest of the campaign runs exactly as before, because the switch happens in Merchant Center, not inside the campaign itself.
Is there a limit on how many shops I can add?
No. Pricing is per shop with an automatic volume discount from five shops, calculated from your total. Adding more shops later just recalculates that total; it does not require a new agreement.
Who do I actually talk to if something needs fixing?
A real person on our side, not an anonymous ticket queue. Support, billing and cancellation are all handled from the same portal you use to add a shop.
Does the switch pause my ads while Google processes it?
No. Your ads keep running the entire time, under whichever CSS is currently submitting them, until the new one is confirmed. There is no gap in coverage.
Is my data shared with anyone new by switching?
No. A CSS only submits the ad your Merchant Center feed already builds; it does not see your website, your customers or any data beyond what Merchant Center already exposes to any authorised party.
