Hungary is a non-euro EU market, so your spend and saving are in forint. The 20 € per shop per month price covers Hungarian campaigns with no per-country fee.
Hungarian is not related to anything around it
Hungarian is Finno-Ugric, closer to Finnish than to German, Slovak or Romanian. A translation memory built from neighbouring markets gives you nothing.
It is also agglutinative: endings stack onto the word itself, so the form a shopper types is rarely the form on your product page.
Hungary is in the EU and not in the euro
Prices are in forint and the rate floats. A euro price list converted once and left alone will drift away from the market without anything visibly breaking.
Set a re-pricing cadence at launch. It will not happen on its own.
What up to a fifth of the bid is worth
Up to a fifth of every bid is taken as margin before the auction begins. That figure is industry experience and ours, not something Google publishes.
On a forint budget the proportion is identical. Only the number in front of it changes.
The shop systems here, and how they reach Merchant Center
In Hungary, the two Hungarian-built rental webshop platforms UNAS and Shoprenter are widely used, with Shoprenter reporting more than 20,000 webshops launched on its system and describing itself as the country's market-leading webshop platform. Both platforms generate a Google product feed URL from their own admin settings, which the merchant registers in Google Merchant Center as a scheduled fetch, rather than through a native app connection.
Frequently asked
Which currency do I price in?
The forint. Hungary is in the EU but not the eurozone.
Can I reuse a Slovak or Romanian feed?
No. Hungarian is unrelated to both.
What is the hardest part of a Hungarian feed?
Titles. The endings stack, and the dictionary form is not what people type.
How big is the Hungarian market?
Around 9.6 million people. The language is the real barrier to entry here, not the size.
Do I need to price in forint?
Yes. Hungarian shoppers compare in forint, and the rate floats, so plan to maintain the list.
Is this a new integration I have to build?
No. There is nothing to build. Whatever already pushes your catalogue into Merchant Center keeps running unchanged; the switch itself is one approval, not a new connection.
Does trying this cost anything if it does not work out?
Not if you decide within 60 days: full refund, no questions. Outside that window there is still no lock-in, just monthly billing you can stop from your portal.
Do I need a second feed just for this?
No. The same feed that already reaches Merchant Center is what a CSS submits from. One feed, one Merchant Center account, no duplicate setup.
Is there a limit on how many shops I can add?
No. Pricing is per shop with an automatic volume discount from five shops, calculated from your total. Adding more shops later just recalculates that total; it does not require a new agreement.
Who do I actually talk to if something needs fixing?
A real person on our side, not an anonymous ticket queue. Support, billing and cancellation are all handled from the same portal you use to add a shop.
Does the switch pause my ads while Google processes it?
No. Your ads keep running the entire time, under whichever CSS is currently submitting them, until the new one is confirmed. There is no gap in coverage.
Is my data shared with anyone new by switching?
No. A CSS only submits the ad your Merchant Center feed already builds; it does not see your website, your customers or any data beyond what Merchant Center already exposes to any authorised party.
Does this work if I already run Performance Max, not just standard Shopping?
Yes. The bid-power effect applies to the Shopping portion of a PMax campaign specifically; the rest of the campaign runs exactly as before, because the switch happens in Merchant Center, not inside the campaign itself.
