Available now. Google Shopping and the CSS programme are live in Ireland, and you can be running through The CSS Partner within 24 hours.

English is the primary commerce language in Ireland, so feeds and ad copy need no change to get up to 25% more bid power, because Google's margin of up to 20% no longer comes off your bid.

The only English-speaking euro market on this list

Ireland runs commerce in English and prices in euro. If you already sell into the eurozone and write in English, there is close to nothing to localise.

That combination makes it one of the fastest markets to add. Irish is an official language and is not where retail search happens.

Do not fold Ireland into a UK setup

Since Brexit, Great Britain sits outside the EU customs union and VAT area while Ireland sits inside it. Shipping, VAT handling and customs paperwork differ.

Shared language, separate everything else. Merchants who treat these as one market discover it at the border.

What the extra bid power is worth here

At 1.000 € a month in Shopping spend, up to 200 € is taken as margin before the auction begins. Up to a fifth of every bid, from industry experience and ours rather than a Google disclosure.

No translation, no price list, no conversion. Just the margin.

The currency question answers itself here

Ireland uses the euro, the same currency the programme bills in, so there is no separate price list to maintain and no exchange-rate drift between what you are quoted and what you pay. Ireland is also one of the markets where the 2017 EU ruling requires equal CSS access, not one where Google extends it as a voluntary choice.

Frequently asked

Do I need to translate anything?

No. English is the commercial language and Ireland uses the euro.

Can I use my UK feed?

The words, yes. The currency, VAT and customs, no. Great Britain is outside the EU.

Is Ireland in the eurozone?

Yes.

Is Ireland big enough to be worth it?

Around five million people, so it is small. What makes it worth doing is that it costs almost nothing to add: English feed, euro prices, no translation.

Does my UK setup cover Ireland?

Not commercially. Great Britain is outside the EU customs union and VAT area, and Ireland is inside it.

Does switching CSS mean changing my product feed?

No. The switch only changes which authorised CSS submits the ad that Merchant Center already builds from your feed. However your catalogue reaches Merchant Center today, it keeps reaching it exactly the same way.

Is there a setup fee or a minimum contract?

No setup fee, and no lock-in: cancel from your portal whenever you like. You also have 60 days after going live to change your mind for a full refund, no questions asked.

Do you build a custom feed, or use what I already have?

We use the feed you already send to Merchant Center. There is nothing new to build, and no separate export just for us.

Who do I actually talk to if something needs fixing?

A real person on our side, not an anonymous ticket queue. Support, billing and cancellation are all handled from the same portal you use to add a shop.

Is there a limit on how many shops I can add?

No. Pricing is per shop with an automatic volume discount from five shops, calculated from your total. Adding more shops later just recalculates that total; it does not require a new agreement.

Does the switch pause my ads while Google processes it?

No. Your ads keep running the entire time, under whichever CSS is currently submitting them, until the new one is confirmed. There is no gap in coverage.

Is my data shared with anyone new by switching?

No. A CSS only submits the ad your Merchant Center feed already builds; it does not see your website, your customers or any data beyond what Merchant Center already exposes to any authorised party.

Does this work if I already run Performance Max, not just standard Shopping?

Yes. The bid-power effect applies to the Shopping portion of a PMax campaign specifically; the rest of the campaign runs exactly as before, because the switch happens in Merchant Center, not inside the campaign itself.
