Available now. Google Shopping and the CSS programme are live in Finland, and your ads can run through The CSS Partner within 24 hours.

Finnish is the primary commerce language and Swedish is an official minority language, so feeds run in either without affecting how the CSS saving works.

Finnish inflects more than almost anything you have localised before

Finnish has fifteen cases and glues endings onto the word itself. The form a shopper types is rarely the dictionary form sitting on your product page.

Machine translation returns grammatical titles in the wrong form. Have the titles written by someone who speaks the language, and let the descriptions stay automatic.

Swedish is an official language here too

Finland has a Swedish-speaking minority and Swedish is an official language. That does not automatically mean a second feed.

Decide it on your own search term report once you are live, not on a population figure. A second language doubles the maintenance for the rest of the account’s life.

The currency question is already answered

Finland uses the euro, so a shop already selling into the eurozone has nothing to convert and nothing to maintain. The work here is entirely linguistic.

At 1.000 € a month in Shopping spend, up to 200 € is taken before the auction. That is the part a CSS changes.

The shop systems here, and how they reach Merchant Center

In Finland, WooCommerce and Shopify are both widely used platforms, alongside domestic platforms such as Vilkas and MyCashflow that specifically serve the Finnish market with local payment and language support. WooCommerce stores typically connect to Google Merchant Center via the official Google for WooCommerce plugin, Shopify stores use the built-in Google and YouTube sales channel, and Vilkas offers a feed export directly from its shop admin, which the platform is migrating from an FTP-based feed to a Performance Max integration.

Frequently asked

Is Finnish related to Swedish?

No. Finnish is Finno-Ugric and unrelated to the Nordic languages around it. A Swedish feed transfers nothing.

Is Finland in the eurozone?

Yes.

Should I run a Swedish feed as well?

Only if your own search terms say so once you are live. Do not decide it from a population figure.

Is Finland big enough to justify the translation work?

Around five and a half million people, so it is a small market with a genuinely hard language. Decide it on the size of your category rather than on the country.

Is the currency a problem?

No. Finland uses the euro, so a shop already selling into the eurozone has nothing to convert.

Will this break my existing Merchant Center setup?

No. Nothing about how your feed reaches Merchant Center changes. The switch is a single approval inside the account you already have, not a new integration.

Am I locked into anything by switching?

No. There is no contract length and no setup cost, and inside the first 60 days you can get a full refund without giving a reason.

Do you build a custom feed, or use what I already have?

We use the feed you already send to Merchant Center. There is nothing new to build, and no separate export just for us.

Is there a limit on how many shops I can add?

No. Pricing is per shop with an automatic volume discount from five shops, calculated from your total. Adding more shops later just recalculates that total; it does not require a new agreement.

Who do I actually talk to if something needs fixing?

A real person on our side, not an anonymous ticket queue. Support, billing and cancellation are all handled from the same portal you use to add a shop.

Does the switch pause my ads while Google processes it?

No. Your ads keep running the entire time, under whichever CSS is currently submitting them, until the new one is confirmed. There is no gap in coverage.

Is my data shared with anyone new by switching?

No. A CSS only submits the ad your Merchant Center feed already builds; it does not see your website, your customers or any data beyond what Merchant Center already exposes to any authorised party.

Does this work if I already run Performance Max, not just standard Shopping?

Yes. The bid-power effect applies to the Shopping portion of a PMax campaign specifically; the rest of the campaign runs exactly as before, because the switch happens in Merchant Center, not inside the campaign itself.
