Google CSS Expansion Delayed: Join the Country Waitlist

Planning a CSS launch in one of the expected new EMEA markets? The earlier 2026 expansion timetable is no longer a reliable launch date. In our 5 September update, we reported that Google had told us the rollout was delayed, live experiments were paused and the original timeline was being revised. No replacement date was shared with us.

What has changed in the 2026 rollout?
Our CSS availability guide distinguishes 21 established markets from 15 expected expansion markets. Its earlier 2026 rollout references describe the original plan, not a promise that those markets are live today.
The delay update is based on our reported direct communication with Google, recorded on 5 September 2026. It is not a new public launch announcement from Google. We have no confirmed replacement timetable or country-by-country opening dates to publish.
At the time of this update, Google’s public CSS documentation still lists the 21 established countries. General Shopping ads availability, an experiment and full CSS programme availability are different things; one does not by itself confirm the others.
Join the country waitlist
Select one or more of the 15 markets in our pending expansion list. The list is for availability notifications only: joining does not switch a Merchant Center account, start a trial or create a paid subscription.
What happens after you join?
- We save your email and the countries you selected for availability updates.
- When we have confirmed that a selected market is open for CSS, we’ll use your request to contact you with the next steps. There is no confirmed launch date yet.
- You choose whether to proceed. A waitlist signup does not grant access or guarantee eligibility, advertising performance or savings.
Already working with us? You can still register interest here; this notification request does not change the markets configured on your active customer account. To withdraw your request, contact info@thecsspartner.com from the email you used.
Prepare while the rollout is on hold
Use the waiting period to review local product titles, feed quality, shipping, returns and your business’s ability to serve each market. Keep country launch budgets conditional on confirmed availability rather than assuming an earlier planned date still applies.
